Four checkered flags to open the month of May for Blake Adams
Blake competed in three WISSOTA-sanctioned events over the weekend, at the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wi on Friday, then at the Rice Lake Speedway in Rice Lake, WI on Saturday and wrapped up the weekend at the Granite City Motor Park in Sauk Rapids, MN on Sunday.
Friday night, his Modified suffered issues in hot laps, so he was forced to scratch for the night, but in the Midwest Mod, he raced from 7th to 4th in his heat race and then put on a show in the feature, charging from his 13th starting spot to make a last lap pass for the lead and for the win.
Saturday, at Rice Lake, he swept both divisions, winning his Midwest Modified heat and feature from the outside of the front row and winning his Modified heat from 6th and the feature from 8th to cap off a double sweep night.
Sunday, he picked up a pair of 4th place finishes in his Modified, racing from 5th to 4th in the heat and then from 6th to 4th in the feature, while in the Midwest Mod, he raced from 8th to 3rd in his heat and then redrew the front row and after an early race battle for the lead, he took off and raced to his third straight Midwest Modified win on the weekend for his efforts.
