February 7th, 2016 - Adams Named Inaugural Champion of the Sunshine State Mod Tour
Cameron, Wisconsin racer Kevin Adams earned the honor of being named the inaugural champion of the Sunshine State Modified Tour by virtue of a 14 point advantage over nearest competitor Trent Young at the top of the final series point standings. (Mike Spieker Photo)
Adams, who won the inaugural Sunshine State Modified Tour feature event back on January 29th at the East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida and then parlayed that with second, third, eighth, fifteenth and twenty fourth place finishes to edge Kentucky racer Young for the title and the $2,500 point championship that goes along with being the inaugural series champion.
En route to his title, Adams finished outside of the top three in heat race action only once, posting a pair of wins, a pair of second place finishes, a third place run and fell out of one heat race.
The tour competed in 4 events at East Bay Raceway Park and a pair of events at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. The pair of events scheduled at the North Florida Speedway in Lake City, along with a third event at Bubba Raceway Park were rained out.

February 5th, 2016 - Adams Captures Podium Finish in Round Five at BRP
Returning for the fourth night of action in the Sunshine State Modified Tour (SSMT) and the final night at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida), Buzzy Adams was one of forty-one Open Wheel Modifieds signed in on Monday for the $1,000-to-win A-Main. Starting the night off with a 2nd place spot in his heat behind Josh Harris, Adams earned a front row high side starting spot for the feature. With 25 laps to capture his 2nd win of the tour, Buzzy fell back to an 8th place outing.

On Wednesday night in a field of thirty-four cars at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida), Buzzy Adams transferred into the 25-lap main event after placing 3rd in his heat. Starting in 9th for the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Adams worked his way through the field six spots scoring a podium finish behind Tait Davenport and Trent Young with Tyler Clem and Josh Harris rounding out the top five. Kevin Adams entered the 6th night of the Sunshine State Modified Tour on Friday night at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. After qualifying second in his group and starting outside of the front row, Buzzy was his heat race in convincing fashion and proceeded to redraw the outside of the front row for the night's 30-lap main event.

Kevin jumped to the lead at the start and held a commanding advantage throughout much of the event, only to see Tait Davenport sneak by on a mid race restart and drive to his second straight SSMT victory. Adams raced home with a solid second and re-took the point lead with a pair of events remaining.

January 31st, 2016 - Buzzy Adams Wins First Night Out at East Bay Raceway Park
Kicking off the 2016 season, Buzzy Adams headed south for the seven-day Sunshine State Modified Tour (SSMT) starting off at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Friday night. Drawing fifty-five cars for the opening night event, Adams cruised to heat race win sending him into the A-Main with a front row starting spot. Battling for the $1,500 payday, Buzzy held on to his pole position starting spot for all 40-laps scoring his first victory of the season with Mavrick Varnadore, David Reutimann, Steve Miller, and Jeff Matthews rounding out the top five. Competing in the second night of action in the Sunshine State Modified Tour (SSMT), Buzzy scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Tait Davenport transferring him into the A-Main. Battling in the 2nd position for the first 14 laps, Adams ran too low in turn one on the next lap sending him around and to the tail. With 60-laps remaining, Buzzy Adams settled with a 24th place finish.

On Sunday night, in a field of forty-three Open Wheel Modifieds, Buzzy did not finish his heat race due to contact with the wall, and was sent to one of the night's b-mains. Just as the b-main was about to roll onto the track, Buzzy and his crew made repairs and were able to start in their 11th starting position. Kevin raced his way up to a second place finish, qualifying for the night's $1,500 to win main event. Kevin then raced his way from the 20th starting spot up to 15th at the checkered after a wild main event.

January 20th, 2016 - Buzzy Adams Reels in Twenty-Two Feature Wins in 2015
Competing in a total of seventy-nine events during 2015 season, Buzzy Adams brought home an impressive twenty-two feature wins. In route to securing his fourth modified national championship, Buzzy collected sixty-two top ten finishes and fifty-nine top five outings.

November 16th, 2015 - Buzzy Adams Launches New Website
Cameron, Wisconsin's Buzzy Adams has joined forces with MSR Mafia Website & PR Services along with FYE Motorsports to launch a brand-new website at

The 35-year-old racer recently put the wraps on another banner season that found him in victory lane 28 times to along with a staggering 59 top five finishes in 77 starts. Along the way he claimed his fourth WISSOTA National Modified Championship. He also claimed the track championship at Rice Lake Speedway (Rice Lake, Wisconsin) and Grand Rapids Speedway (Grand Rapids, Minnesota)

While the 2015 season just recently came to a close, Adams, who is an 8-Time WISSOTA 100 Champion, is already focused on a big 2016 campaign. Check back often as dates and news are announced.
