Shaw By Buzzy Now Available! CAMERON, WI - For those out there that have tried and failed to catch Kevin “Buzzy” Adams, maybe it’s time you joined him in the cockpit of a new Shaw By Buzzy race car. Adams, back-to-back-to-back (2009-11) Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100 feature winner, plus the 2008 and 2011 WISSOTA national champion in the Modified division, third place finisher in 2009, and second in 2010, has the experience and the know-how to get new customers running fast and winning races in a hurry. Shaw By Buzzy in Cameron is an outlet source for Larry Shaw Race Cars out of Batesville, AR. Adams has worked extensively with the parent company for the past six years. The list of credentials for the 31-year-old also includes 348 career feature wins, including 124 behind the wheel of a Shaw Modified. He’s also raced WISSOTA Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks. To all potential Modified and Midwest Modified customers, Shaw By Buzzy offers 15 years of driving and setup experience; tech support at and away from the track; a chassis setup booklet and help sheets; professionally built shock packages, 4-bar and Z-4 suspension setups and a variety of bracket additions on chassis, something Adams states, “helps these cars handle better in WISSOTA-land. We’ve had a great two seasons with everyone that joined our team. Our Modifieds ran great all season.” Travis Sauer had a great season, winning 11 features, finishing fourth at the WISSOTA 100 and winning a feature during the Paul Bunyan Stampede at Bemidji Speedway. Nate Heinrich won three features, including the Brown County Speedway Rumble and was runner-up in the Advantage RV Mod Tour final point standings. Also, Jamen Foss, Chris Prussman, rookie Kevin Eder, Emory Wells, Bryan Nayes, Randy Tarno and Justin Elmer were all feature winners this season. Other Shaw By Buzzy Modified team members included Tim McMann, Chad Olsen, Curt Myers, Scott and Marshal Tofte, Kyle Koehntop, Aric Lindberg, Wayne Stricker, Travis Cantwell and Alan Farley. And, let’s not forget about Midwest Modifieds. “Between myself and Curt Myers of Gator Chassis, we have all of your answers for the new Midwest Modified 3-link rules,” Adams said. “Our cars are very easy and affordable to convert. Also, call about the new prices on Midwest Mod rollers. “Matt Leer and Cory Crapser were on fire this season. They both adapted fast to the new rules.” Leer won 21 features including the WISSOTA 100 for the second year in a row! Crapser won 16 features and finished third at the 100. Both also finished in the top 10 in WISSOTA national points. Also, Zach Manley won the WISSOTA national Rookie of the Year honors driving Adams’ house car. “It was fun to watch Zach this season,” Adams said. “He was a true rookie in this division coming out of one year in a Street Stock. We had Zach try three different 3-link suspension combinations this year, which helped for information for the rest of the team! Zach left for the Navy in September, and we would like to wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.” Other Team Shaw By Buzzy Midwest Mod winners included Rice Lake Labor Day shootout winner Ryan Viltz, Dakota State Fair Race winner Chad Olsen, Rice Lake Speedway winner Tito Viltz and two-time Tomahawk Speedway winner Jim Barttelt, Sr. New team members that have already signed on for 2012 include, Kent Arment, Curt Lund, Matt Suckow, Jason Vejtruba, Jeremy Meirhofer, Corey Elward, Patt Hoffman and Al Gessell, Jr. “I am really excited about how things have went, and where they are going,” Adams said. “As a team we have all worked great together. I get so excited every time one of these guys calls me up to tell how they did. It’s great to work with all of them. We all share information, which only helps everyone involved. “Anybody can buy a Shaw car anywhere, but it’s the one-on-one tech support that is hard to get,” Adams added. “You still have to have the correct help to tune these animals. My cars are custom built to my specs only. All of the changes are made by extensive testing throughout each season.” In addition, Adams said customers will still have full tech support from Kevin Shaw at Larry Shaw Race Cars. “You have no idea how great everyone is down at Shaw’s.” Adams exclaimed. “From Larry and Kevin, to Jason and Trav - they are all great people to work with.” The real big change over last winter was teaming up with Myers of Gator Chassis. “His knowledge about 3-link cars is second to none,” Adams stated. “Curt also helps with the fabrication and assembly of these hot rods. He has helped me out a ton since I decided to sell cars.” Also, starting in the fall of 2011, Shaw By Buzzy will only be offering new assembled rolling chassis to new customers. Repeat customers will have the option to purchase just frames. “The reason for this is I just want to sell my own personal version of these cars to a select few group of drivers,” Adams said. “My sign business comes first and I just don’t have the time to talk to 300 different chassis customers a day like Kevin Shaw does. Used car customers, don’t worry though. If you buy a used car from someone, please do not hesitate to call.” The advantages of signing up with the Shaw By Buzzy team doesn’t stop there.
